🌞The Sunshine Blogger Award🌞

Hello everyone, hope you are having a great weekend ❤

It’s been a while since I saw a blog award of some sort around the blogging community. When I just started blogging 4.5 years ago the blogging community was filled with tons of blog awards, tags and other blog-sharing posts to know better of the people behind the wonderful blogger’s community. And now, I’ve been tagged by the wonderful Hilary from sereneluna blog. If you don’t know Hilary from her beautiful blog and her joyful Instagram, go check her out after you read this post. Don’t forget to say Hi and get to know another great blogger by following her inspiring posts.

The Sunshine Blogger Award has rules (surprise, surprise!). These rules ensure the success of this award, providing exposure to all the award winners. The rules are quite simple and straightforward.

  • Thank the person who nominated you and provides a link back to their blog so others can find them.
  • Answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.
  • Notify the nominees about it by commenting on one of their blog posts.
  • List the rules and display a Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your post and/or your blog site.

1. Why did you decide to start a blog? I have started blogging because I wanted to share my passion for writing, book, and life with other people who have the same passion. I love the positive community and how people show their kindness and compassion for others, it’s just inspiring and motivating ❤

2. What year did you publish your first blog post? My first weird (lol) blog post was published in 2014 and it’s called This Is Me. Go check it out even for just a laugh, hehe.

3. What is your favorite thing about blogging? The obvious reason is the wonderful community, but I also love the writing aspect of blogging. To just write a more free aspect of writing. I am now editing my novel so having fun to just write and share my thoughts, some writing tips, and about my life, is very freeing and almost like therapy (hehe).

4. Do you own a pet? If so, what kind? We (my husband and I) care for the most beautiful, joyful, old and crazy dog named Menta (Mint) 😀 She doesn’t have a specific breed.

Menta Balli, Dog, Coffee n' Notes

5. Do you have any routines before you write a blog post? It’s not much of a routine, but if I have to really sit down and brainstorm ideas…

  • I like to sit by my desk and take a piece of paper and just brainstorm ideas and what I really feel I would like to read or write about.
  • Then I go into Grammarly and start writing a rough draft of my blog post and copy it into my WordPress blog post.
  • I like to search for pictures and edit them on Canva (I only have the free version and that’s enough for me) ❤
  • If I don’t have time and I am of the house for most of the day, I like to do it all on my phone and my favorite app to brainstorm ideas in is Google Keep 😀

6. What motivates you to write? Where do you find inspiration? Omg, this can be a long answer, but I will try to keep it short. Writing for me is like therapy, so I always write, hehe… If it’s a diary, poems/songs, blog post or novel form… I will always write because it keeps me sane and connected and that’s what motivates me to keep going even if I will be 80 years old and still haven’t published a word, I will keep writing 😀

I find inspiration everywhere… Books, people, movies, dreams, other blogs and sites, and pictures.

7. What country do you live in? I live in Israel ❤

8. Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I am mostly a coffee drinker but I do love tea as well and I have a cupboard filled with tea boxes of all sorts to prove it 😉

9. Are you a morning person or a night person? I am a night person that has to be a morning person due to my mom’s illness and the fact that Ralfi (my husband) always said he misses me. I am getting used to it, but my most productive writing sessions are at night or very early mornings.

10. What languages do you speak? I speak Hebrew, English, a bit of Hungarian and a bit of Spanish. I do understand very well Romanian but I don’t speak the language.

11. What do you fear the most? Wow, that a very personal question (I love it)… Other than bugs and mostly Cockroaches? I think I fear that people will think I am totally ugly (I know it’s superficial but sadly we live a world that judges you on how you look not on what you are as a person) and I also fear that when a struggle presents itself that I won’t be strong enough to deal with it.

And all of you that are reading this ❤

My Questions to you:

  1. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
  2. Is blogging your full-time job?
  3. What kind of blog posts are you most looking for to read?
  4. If you knew you would die tomorrow (knock on wood 3 times, hehe just in case) what would be your last post about?
  5. Do you believe in true love?
  6. Which do you love more… Reading books or watching movies (name your #1 book or movie).
  7. What are you most passionate about?
  8. Do you exercise, do yoga or just chill on the sofa?
  9. What do you see when you open a window?
  10. What is your best tip to organize your day?
  11. Any wisdom to share or your favorite quote?

There is no pressure to respond to this nomination, as I know you have very busy lives outside of the blogging world. I look forward to reading your answers if you do decide to participate in the Sunshine Blogger Award. I am curious to know what your answers are 😀

That is all for today’s post and I will see you again tomorrow.

As always, thank you so much for reading ❤

The Daydreamer Award

Blog Award, Daydreamer, Coffee n' Notes

Happy Friday everyone ❤ I hope you are all having a wonderful day and a great weekend 🙂

This week was busy and a bit hard with the hot weather. However, I had a couple of days to myself where I was able to write, edit and just rest, how wonderful 😀

Onto the award, though… I was nominated by the lovely author Kate from Kate M. Colby to do this fabulous award, so long ago (sorry for that, Kate). Thank you so much, Kate, for this unique award, I loved how different it is from other awards. If you don’t know Kate, you must go to her blog and check out her wonderful posts and her amazing book and ebooks. I assure you, you’ll love them and her ❤

Divider, Coffee n' Notes

Now, onto the award  😉

Wow, daydreams for me are mostly about the things I need/want to do that day. How I will need to organize papers for my mom, or tidy around the house, calls I need to do, making dinner and about more chores like that, lol (not glamorous at all).

However, I also do daydream about scenes in my book and about my characters (as most authors might do, I think, lol). I play out in my head a few scenes I’m still not sure about or want to tweak a bit and Imagine my characters’ daily life before my story began and see how they lived and what their dreams were.

Night Dreams

My night dreams are mostly about three things and they are one of my biggest inspiration:

My family, friends, and people around me, I dream about helping them and trying to make things easy on them. Let’s say my friend has a problem and we talk about it, I may dream of some new path she can go that might help her with her problem and so on. I have these dreams about myself as well when I have a problem and I’m trying to find a way how to fix it in my dreams, lol. I call these dreams work dreams (don’t know why).

At night I also dream about ideas and new worlds. My dream-journals are filled with new characters and royal families for many fantasy worlds, having many issues that must be resolved, lol. I even wrote two novels from that dream journal. I call these dreams writer’s dreams, as I think most writers tend to do that  😀

Goal Dreams

I mostly dream about being a published author  ❤ I want to be published traditionally and independently.

Why both? Well, I want to experience them both  😀

Well, that is all for this award and you got to know a little bit more about me and my dreams ❤ Hope you enjoyed reading as much as I loved doing this award. I will not nominate anyone, but if anyone would like to take on the award and share their dreams, please do  🙂 And Kate, thank you so much for this award  🙂

What are your daydreams and night dreams? Don’t be shy and share in comments, I would love to read all about them 🙂

As always, thank you so much for reading  ❤

One Lovely Blog Award

I was nominated by the lovely Claudia from Claudia Marie 🙂 If you don’t know her or her wonderful blog, you must check it out. I love her posts both on beauty and health. There are so many inspiring posts, in a very clean and beautiful package and Claudia is an amazing blogger to follow ❤

Thank you, Claudia so much for nominating me. It truly made my day.

I will list 7 (random, weird and hopefully interesting) facts about me 😉

Let’s get started:

  1. I love writing. Just in this year and a half, I’ve written 3 full books (now the hard part is here, the editing stage). I love the writing tons more than the editing, but this as well must be done, lol.
  2. I do not like shopping for clothes – I know it may sound weird, but shopping for clothes always seem to bring anxiety and stress with it.
  3. I love the sound that my thumb does when I move it from side to side (yep.)
  4. I love inventing new languages as a hobby (My first inspiration to start playing with this was the time I’ve read LOTR for the first time).
  5. I really can’t handle the hot weather, more so since my Addison’s Disease.
  6. I love reading books so much. My E-book collection is growing way too fast, lol (over 400 books, yep) and printed books I have about 500.
  7. My love for nerdy/geeky things is growing as I get older.

I hope you liked these random and weird facts about me. Please let me know some nice/weird/interesting facts about you in the comments below!

Thank you so much for reading ❤

Weekly Round Up

Amazing Sunday to you all ❤

How is your day so far? I hope it was well and by any chance it was hard there is always tomorrow, right? 😀

This week I was still trying to shake this sore throat, sadly without success. I do feel much better and I have more energies than the week before that, but this sore throat just won’t go away, lol.

Today I was with my mom (she is still not feeling very well) and I helped her clean her closet and room, then I came home with all the intentions of cleaning and organizing, but instead I just rested, lol (It felt so good but with a hint of guilt – as always, lol). This week is going to be super hectic (what’s new?), but I hope it will be productive as well 😀

Here’s a quick round-up of the posts that have been featuring on Coffee n’ Notes this past week

Weekly Round Up {Coffee n’ Notes}

Happy Sunday to you all

I hope you had a lovely weekend so far and for those who celebrated Halloween, I hope the sugar rush wasn’t too bad and you are enjoying the day after 😉

For me it was an eventful weekend: watching 4 hours of a Twitch show (from geek and Sundry) called Critical Role (hubby and I looove this show), then we gamed in the Halloween maze and entered the new maps and events. All of these mixed with tons of sleep and yummy food, made this weekend a good one ❤

Now, as the weekend ended and Nano has already started, it’s time to get back to work and write, write, write! And for those who are still enjoying their weekend, here is a little recap of this week on Coffee n’ Notes…

Blog Party

Yesterday at Halloween, I held my first ever Blog Party or as many bloggers call it, Link Party ❤ It was such a fun way to see people’s posts and I got to follow a few new ones (Loved it). To all that been to my party, thank you so much and if you missed it, there is always next time 😉

Friday Musing

As always, on Fridays, I post my Friday Musing and this time I rambled on all the new and exciting things that happened to me that week. Here I rambled this time on the new expansion of the game I love the most and more.

My NaNoWriMo Prep

I love Nano so much and each year I try to do Nano, last year I couldn’t finish it due to my mom being in the hospital a few time that November. This year I plan to win and even go higher than the normal word count of 50K. So if you just starting out with Nano or just want to try new things to prepare yourself for the amazing madness of NaNoWriMo, you can find here how I prep for this craziness of writing an entire novel in one month

The Liebster Award

I was nominated for this award a while back by the lovely Karen from Shade But No Shade blog. I had so much fun answering her questions and posting this award, thank you again, Karen ❤

That is all for this Weekly Round-Up, you guys are always seem to make me smile and I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday and a great weekend. If you are doing Nano, good luck with the writing 🙂

As always… Thank you so much for reading ❤

The Liebster Award

Happy Tuesday to you all,

I hope you are all having a wonderful and restful day. Today was a nice day beside my eye swelling up (don’t know why), but other than that it was a nice and calm day at home while I caught up on some blog posts and house chores.

I was nominated for this award a while back by the lovely Karen from Shade But No Shade blog. Thank you so much for this amazing award Karen and I am so sorry for being so late in posting this award. If you don’t know Karen or her lovely blog, go pay her a visit and say hello 🙂

  1. Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
  2. Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.
  3. Nominate 10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.
  4. Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.
  5. Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.
    Stay Blogging Peeps! 🙂

Karen’s Questions:

What inspires you to be the best you that you can be?

Such a great question. I think for me it’s since I was a kid, if I loved something I wanted to be the best I can be. As a person, I think what inspire me to be the best I can be is the people I love. They show me who I am each day and who I want to be… For me they are very inspiring and motivating 🙂

Choose one life changing moment. What would it be and why?

It’s hard to choose, but I will make this more specific to blogging. Starting Coffee n’ Notes changed my life in so many ways. I became less scared of sharing and talking to others, I enjoy the community so much and the supporting people but mostly it made me love writing even more than before.

Do you prefer paperback, hardcover, tablets, or e-readers? Tell me why! 😀

I love them all, lol 😀 Each and every one of these have their own purpose in my life. But printed books are the best I think. The smell of a new book as I flip through the pages is beyond amazing to me.

If you could go back in time, what is one moment you would tell the “younger” you to avoid?

Don’t listen to the people who said I can’t do things.

What is your all time favorite song?

Breathe Me By Sia ❤ But I also love the song Who will love me now By PJ Harvey. They are so… perfect and always make me emotional 😀

You only get one meal to eat on a Friday. Would you eat healthy or go all in?

All in, lol.

Who do you look up to and how did they make an impact?

I have some authors that inspire me to work harder when I know how they worked and struggled, but lately there are a few bloggers here that make me think of my writing and blogging as I read their posts.

What has blogging done for you?

Wow! Big question 😀 Blogging changed my life so much and I have learned so much about my writing and my life. The people here are so amazing and so supportive that it helped me free the anxiety I feel each time I want to share my writing or any socializing, lol.

Do you have any favorite activities besides blogging? Please share! 🙂

Writing 😀 Reading ❤ But also I love to play the guitar, sing (badly, but I still love it, lol), draw, color, and paint, game as much as I can (gw2 mostly) ❤

Describe your best childhood moment. Do you miss it?

I stared at this question for too long, lol and sadly I really can’t think of the ‘best childhood moment’ But I do miss people from my childhood.

That is all for this award, hope you enjoyed reading and getting to know me a little more 🙂

Most of my fellow bloggers had already done this award, so I am not going to nominate anyone for this award, however, if you want to do this award consider yourself nominated 😀

As always, thank you so much for reading ❤

Weekly Round-Up {Coffee n’ Notes}

This week, life seemed to be less busy and hectic which left me with more time to do things I needed to do for a while now. I was able to write some posts (yey me!) and clean the entire house (well almost… lol), but the most important thing… I was very productive (woot-woot) 😀

Today is even more special than the entire week… It’s raining ❤

Finally! It’s finally raining ❤

I am all curled up on the couch, catching up on some posts, before life will catch up and I will soon need to go back to reality 😀

I hope your Sunday is going great and if you have a few minutes to curl up on the couch like me, here’s a small round-up of this week’s posts featured on Coffee n’ NotesEnjoy 😉

Friday Musing {Geeky Version}

This Friday I was (and still am) completely stocked about this weekend 🙂 This post is a bit on the “geeky” side but still had fun to share my total excitement.

Blogger Recognition Award

Hello to all my wonderful readers and fellow bloggers 🙂 I hope you are all having a nice day.

I was nominated by the awesome blogger we all know and love Katie from Plus+ Beauty. Thank you so much Katie, for this amazing award and I am so excited to do it. If you don’t know Katie or her blog, go and say hello and I am sure you’ll love her posts and the lovely blogger herself ❤

1) Write a post explaining why you started blogging along with a few tips.

2) nominate some of your fellow bloggers.

3) comment on their blogs to let them know you’ve nominated them.

Why I started blogging?

Wow, thinking back a whole year is getting hard, but for me, there were two major reasons for starting a blog:

  1. To have some sort of a Writer/Author Platform.
  2. To be able to share my passion for writing, reading and share my thoughts while overcoming the anxiety and fear, I had (and still do sometimes) when it comes to sharing my writing.
  3. To meet new people who share this passion I have for writing and reading.

Here are some little tips that work for me 🙂

  1. Interact with other bloggers and your readers. Comment, like, share and just enjoy this wonderful community. I’ve met so many amazing people here and I’ve learned (and still learning) so much from them. You would be amazed just how much this will change your life ❤
  2. Be kind and nice to all that come through your blog, even if sometimes you will get a hurtful comment, stay professional and kind.
  3. Be yourself and show who you are and who you want to be, after all, you are special just as you are and your readers will love your blog when you are true to yourself.
  4. Be creative and fun. Think of your readers and yourself as you write your posts 😀
  5. Be patient. Don’t worry about the numbers and just keep blogging ❤

And here are the nominees

Confetti and Curves

Blog Tour Award

Hello to all my wonderful readers 🙂 How’s your week going? I hope things going smoothly for you this week 🙂 I was nominated by the lovely Katie from Plus+ Beauty for this lovely award! If you aren’t following Katie’s lovely blog, then please get over there and give her a follow. I love her blog a lot and Katie is just a wonderful and down to earth blogger. She is amazing and you will love following her a lot

Thank you so much, Katie for nominating me and it was really fun doing it 😉

The Rules

  1. Pass the tour on up to four other bloggers.
  2. Give your nominees the rules and a specific Monday to post.
  3. Answer four questions about your creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires you to do what you do.
    • How does my work differ from others in my genre?
    • How does my writing/creative process work?
    • Why do I write or create what I do?
    • What I’m working on at the moment?
  4. Compose a one-time post on a specific Monday (date given from your nominator) – Mine was the 22 of June.

My Answers

1. How does my work differ from others in my genre?

Wow, This is such a hard question! I don’t think my blog differs very much from other writer’s blogs. I know that I try hard to make it more relatable to others that are not writers/authors and keep things more light and fun. I try to keep up with all my reader’s blogs and see what they like and how I can better my blog that way, for them (and for me).

2. How does my writing/creative process work?

If this question was meant for blogging, then it’s much simpler than my novel writing process 😉 I write an idea in my notebook, then on my laptop, I try to write all I want on that idea and I take in consideration my readers here as well. I try to keep my posts short (most of the time) and I write what I want but in a more light way. I also try to find nice pictures to keep things on the same level as the posts.

3. Why do I write or create what I do?

Okay, I want to be truthful here. At first, I started the blog because of two major reasons. 1. To have some sort of an Author Platform. 2. To share my writing process, my thoughts about writing.

But… things changed so much for me. Having an author’s platform is nice and a must if I want to be taken seriously, but having this special connection with other writers/bloggers/authors/readers is beyond what I ever thought it would be. Now I write my posts because I care even more about my readers (I know it sounds cheesy, but I really do think so), and so I take my time and not go into this with a lazy approach. Writing may be my passion but this connection is something far more unique.

4. What I’m working on at the moment?

If it’s a question about the blog, I am working on a small feature that may be introduced next month. I still need to work on it a bit, so will see how it goes. More hints will come as soon as we get closer to July 😉

My Nominees:

Herminia from aspiringwriter22

Tony from The Blog Of Tony Burgess

Erika from Rickus Bookshelf

Heena from Heena Rathore P.

The date that I am going to set is two weeks from now, which will be July 6th! I hope that everyone I tagged will participate, though please don’t feel obligated to.

As always, thank you so much for reading ❤
