Behind The Writer + An Update

So it’s Wednesday, I hope you are all having a good day and your week is nice and relaxedย so far ๐Ÿ™‚

I will start with the update first, as I have a few things I want to share with you ๐Ÿ˜‰ Most of you might know that my mom is going to a retirement home and we found the perfect place for her (that she mostly chose) and I know that she loves it. At first, she was going to enter today, but after we did some paperwork and talked to some people she will enter on the 1st of July ๐Ÿ™‚

Both my mom and I were very stressed out about all the things we needed to accomplish by today, so I was very stressed to say the least, lol. But now that she will be entering only in two weeks, there is time to do the things more slowly (yey us).

As for JuNoWriMo, I have done nothing! (well… almost nothing). So I will take that as a small failure, but after all that is going on, I am not stressing about that. I guess there is time (or no time, lol) for everything.

My Newsletter that was meant to go out on the 20th this month will still go out, but by the end of the month like the 28th of June. If you haven’t signed up yet, go here and sign up so you won’t miss June Issue โค

Okay… Let’s get back to our Wednesday Behind The Writer ๐Ÿ˜‰

WhMoMe

For this week I wanted to share with you what motivates me to write, only this time with the small twist of writing with a short term memory loss ๐Ÿ˜€

You know how they say that when you write something, take a little space from it when you are done and come back later with a whole new fresh look on it. Well, writing with a memory loss is something like that, lol, but a bit more challenging ๐Ÿ˜€

So after a few trials and errors, I found the right things that help me feel motivated to write, even when I can’t remember what I am writing about, lol.

The day before:

You wrote a lot of pages and chapters (or just a few lines) and before you leave it, write a few things somewhere where you will see it the next day ๐Ÿ™‚

Write down the key points of what you wrote so far and what you think you want to write the next day and how your plot is going to go.

Write down to read what you wrote the day before (only). Do not read the entire thing, just what you wrote the day before. If you read the entire book (if you had been writing for a few days or month) every day, you will never be able to move on with your writing. So read only what you wrote the day before and write little notes (if you have any).

The next day:

Before you start writing do some free writing, just to let your mind get used to the word flow and the writing itself. do that just for a few minutes to let the creative juices flow.

Then read the day’s before work and write little notes (I always see things a bit differently, but so far it was for the better).

Read the key points of the story.

start your writing according to the key points. The story and the characters may change as you go, but after you read the entire book, you see how those changes came for the best and didn’t hurt the plot at all.

Before you go to sleep do the same as you did for the day before ๐Ÿ˜€

During this time, I tend to read a lot – much more than usual, lol, don’t know why but it helps me a lot with my writing and keeps me inspired.

Sorry for the long posts guys, but I hope it wasn’t overbearing and even though I have written about a very specific subject, I still think it can be implemented in other areas. I think what is extremely important when you have a memory loss is to stay organized or keep your thoughts organized.

So write everything down!

As always, thank you so much for reading โค

Behind The Writer

It’s Wednesday and I hope that you are all having a nice day and your week is going as planed and even better ๐Ÿ˜‰

Okay let’s start, as I promised this to be short as can be ๐Ÿ˜€

WhMoMe

For this week’s of Behind The Writer I will still talk about the things that motivates me to write when there are a lot of stuff on my plate and things just going crazy, lol.

This little tip of you wanna call it that way is a bit out there and not so sweet and nice (I am sorry). Well… I am not super sorry, because we are all people and sometimes what motivates us can be not so nice things ๐Ÿ˜€

Even though this is not that of nice thing to do, I do want to share with you what helps me and this sometimes helps, especially when I am in a slump.

I take a book, read an article that in my own opinion is just not so good. I know…it’s a bit, you know… but it helps me to say to myself, “Hey… I can do this and I can do this better.” ๐Ÿ˜€

Now as I said, I know that this little tip is a bit out there, but I have read in a few places of authors that actually do this when they are in a slump and it helps them as well, just as much as it helps me (every time btw).

Have you heard of this little tip before? What are your thoughts on this? Can’t wait to read your thoughts on this.

Thank you so much for reading โค

Behind The Writer

It’s Wednesday and at Coffee n’ Notes it’s time for ‘Behind The Writer’ ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday and a great week.

Before I will start with the post, I just wanted to say that I am sorry I was away for a bit and haven’t answered your lovely comments and visited your wonderful blogs. Too much is going on right now (JunoWriMo, Other writing, Family, Home…).

so I am a bit overwhelmed, but I hope things will get easier – soon ๐Ÿ™‚

So… Back to the post, lol. Btw, If you missed my first two posts in this series, you can find them Here and Here.

WhMoMe

So what motivates me to continue writing, if I get stuck?

Well… I usually get a bit stuck in the middle of the story (I write very fast until then, so I think I get a bit burned out) and then I need to be more motivated to write. Mostly because I start to procrastinate a lot (a lot!) and I start doing everything on my lists, but writing ๐Ÿ˜‰

So what motivates me here are some little mind trick, lol, crazy I know (but hey, that works). I say to myself that if I write for a minute or two – on the clock, about a single word I choose or use this site, then… I am done!

In most cases that one word makes a spark and I start writing for a few more minutes about that word and then I have enough push and motivation and I continue on working on my story (usually for a few hours).

Now if that didn’t help I set my alarm for an hour later and until then I do what I need or want. When the alarm starts ringing, I start again ๐Ÿ˜€ Or do some free writing to get my mind clearer.

Day like these, when I have too much on my plate and writing is just a job, I do little tricks like these and it brings back the excitement and motivation for the writing and my story โค

Well, that is all for this Wednesday, I managed to keep this short-ish, yey.

As always, thank you so much for reading โค

Behind The Writer

Hey everyone, it’s Wednesday and the start of a new series. This series is called Behind The Writer, it will be mini posts about what motivates or inspire me, as a writer.

Motivation is = What helps you push yourself towards your goal. Like, making a to-do list for a bigger goal ๐Ÿ˜‰ This helps you do the hard work.

Inspiration is = What pulls you in to do what you want to do? It’s something that is higher in feelings and thought. Like, writing is my passion ๐Ÿ˜‰ This makes you feel better and more fulfilled while doing the hard work.

Just a small intro:

I love writing and always did. Ever since I was a kid I loved writing stories and poems. If you know me long enough, you know by now that writing is like air for me.

When something you love becomes your work, that’s when things get a bit harder. Not everyone gets up in the morning saying, what a wonderful morning this is to write and start writing from early morning till night or till the afternoon. Maybe you are that motivated but for me, it’s hard sometimes (or most days, lol).

I have tons of things to do, like most regular people. I have my writing, my regular home to dos, hubby, mom, cute dog, Friends (what are friends?), my author business and my blog โค

With all of the things I need (and want) to accomplish daily and weekly, staying motivated about writing each day and every day, can be a bit challenging some days.

I wanted to show you guys a few things that motivate me to start writing and not just saying things like… “Wow, I love writing, writing is my goal in life and my passion, lol.”

So, stay tuned to next Wednesday when I show you what really works for me to stay motivated or inspired in my writing, even though I have all the other stuff I need to do ๐Ÿ™‚ This post came out a bit longer than I thought, lol, but the others will be shorter – I promise ๐Ÿ˜€

What motivates and inspires you to write, to blog… and share your thoughts in the comment, I love reading them ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for reading โค
