Monthly Goals (And an Update)

Hello everyone,Β  I hope you are all having wonderful Thursday β™‘

For this update, I thought I’d share with you some things I thought about and already started working towards them. March is about to become a very hectic month. My mom will still be at the hospital for most of March, then we need to see if she’ll go back to the home she was or somewhere else. I have a few things to do for myself as well and I want to push my writing and editing even harder. So, next month I have a few doctors appointments to go to and probably on April I will undergo Hysteroscopy and I hope all will be okay.

My mom is doing okay. It’s hard, can’t say it isn’t hard and now that she entered her 5th week of Radiations and Chemotherapy, It’s getting even harder. But other than that, mom is doing good and she’s trying to keep herself busy.

I don’t know if I ever told you this but 2016 was a very busy year for me in writing. I finished writing 3 full books. They’re finished with their first draft and second drafts (#1 is about: 115K, #2 is about: 80K #3 is about: 80K and I also wrote four more but just as ideas (10K-20K each). I think writing has become very easy to do on my phone and it helps me a lot, with all the hectic weeks I’m having, lol. However, the editing part is so hard for me to do on my phone or even on my tablet, but slowly I’ll get better at that πŸ˜€

divider

I had a lot of time to think these past few weeks and by the end of 2017, I want to accomplish a few things. I wrote a few quarterly goals, but I broke them down into monthly goals as well.

So here are my monthly goals for March πŸ™‚

1. Edit 2-4 chapters.
2. Write 2-4 chapters.
3. Blog 1-2 week, even if just to say hello (missed you guys a lot).
4. Be more active in my social media.
5. Research on marketing more.
6. Research on publishers and agents.
7. Keep eating healthy and drink more water.
8. Journal more, even if it’s in my bullet journal.
9. On weekends, organize the house a bit more.
10. Read at least 1 book.

What are your goals for March? And how is your 2017 so far?

As always, thank you so much for reading ❀

Quarterly Goals

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday πŸ™‚

If you want to know what Quarterly Goals are and see how I did in my April-June Quarterly Goals Recap. The only reason I dropped June from the past goals because I talked with a few friends and we set up a new plan for June πŸ˜‰

I and a few other girls are doing “Nano style” in July and August, so at June, we plan. I’m planning to “Nano Edit” on July and August while the others are doing the writing. I’ve talked with my mom and hubby about this and I am so happy that they are being so supportive of the idea, even if it means that I won’t be with them as much as usual πŸ˜‰ Thank you so much for this… It means the world for me ❀

So here are my new goals for June – August πŸ˜‰

  1. Organize the house and De-clutter.
  2. Retype notes, final outline and organize them.
  3. Finish all book reviews I need to do.
  4. Print the final outline and the entire book.
  5. Start “Nano Edit” in July.
  6. Blog when I can (but at least once a week) πŸ˜‰
  7. Finish July’s “Nano Edit” with half the book edited.
  8. Don’t let others take my time (less of a goal and more of a reminder).
  9. Start “Nano Edit” in August.
  10. Finish August’s “Nano Edit”.
  11. Finish editing the entire book πŸ˜€
  12. In these 2.5 months Find an editor!!! (I always say I will find one, lol, but I let time pass me by).
  13. Keep Journaling, even on those stressful days πŸ˜‰
  14. Reach 850 followers on twitter πŸ˜‰
  15. Buy new frames.
  16. Re-organize our bookshelves (they are in a huge mess right now).

Well, these are my new goals. As you see, I have fewer goals this time and they are much more specific πŸ˜€ With a bit of luck I will be able to accomplish most of them. I am very excited about these goals and that I have the power to claim this time just for my writing ❀ I can’t wait to start.

I hope you are all doing great with your goals and with what you wish to accomplish. Remember! As long as you try, you are already far ahead in your path. I am so proud of you ❀

Quarterly Goals Recap

Hello everyone and happy Monday to us all ❀

If by chance you don’t know what is Quarterly Goals, here’s a little introduction. I saw this feature at a YouTuber Author, Jenna Moreci. The idea is to list 10-20 goals for the next three months. This way you will be more focused on your goals and not watch TV, Netflix, YouTube or in my case, I won’t be gaming as much as I want.

If I accomplish my goals then I am amazing and I can say with a clear mind that I am the queen of the world, lol (or maybe not), but if I fail then I get to publicly say that I have failed (yay me). Sounds fun, right?

Quarterly Goals Recap

Before I will post my quarterly goals tomorrow, I want to do a short recap of the last quarterly goals (April – June) and see how I did.

  1. Write 250 pages (Come on Galit, I need to sit on my ass and write more. I can do this!).
  2. Edit on weekends.
  3. Write at least 8 blog posts a month.
  4. Change my blog theme and sidebar to what I’m working on now.
  5. Hold a giveaway (as I said in my last newsletter, it will be in June).
  6. Organize my blog.
  7. Clean up my twitter (again).
  8. Reach 750 followers on twitter πŸ˜‰
  9. Finish book reviews on time!
  10. Organize files on myΒ computer and hard drive (there are in a huge mess, lol).
  11. Buy a cover package.
  12. Hire an editor.
  13. Send out queries for T.E.L (already sent out 1).
  14. Read 3 to 4 books (not for reviews).
  15. Eat less junk food (must try at least, lol) πŸ˜‰
  16. Journal more often.
  17. Try to keep the house more suitable for humans (even in those stressful days, lol).
  18. Buy a new mattress (omg, I have to do this).
  19. Buy new frames (haven’t done this yet, lol).
  20. Date night with hubby (maybe even a game night) once a week ❀
  21. Follow blogs and social media stats.
  22. Drink more water!
  23. Post more on social media (writing and book-related pics).
  24. Make some changes to the newsletter (already started working on that).

So, as you see… I have failed my quarterly goals. completely!

From 24 goals I’ve accomplished 3 (an epic fail). It’s been a while since I’ve failed this bad, lol. Now even though these past few months were a huge mess of busy schedule, it’s still not an excuse for this massive failing proportion.

Now I still have June to try and make things better, but I talked with some of my writing buddy friends and we hatched a plan for the next 3 month, but it started this month. Tomorrow, I will post my new Quarterly Goals πŸ™‚

Weekly Round Up

coffeennotesweekly

Hey everyone (it’s a very late Sunday here)Β  πŸ˜‰ I hope you are all having a nice weekend ❀

I spent my Friday in the hospital with my mom, due to a huge allergy reaction she had and I only got home at 2am. I slept all through Saturday and through most of Sunday, lol.

I felt too exhausted, to do anything (I hate hospitals). Today I made some arrangements as my mom and I are going back to the hospital to do a biopsy and see why my mom’s legs are so puffy and red. Tomorrow it’s going to be a busy day as well… Yay πŸ˜‰

This weekly round-up will be short, so let’s jump right into it πŸ˜€

Quarterly Goals Recap

Quarterly Goals Recap

Here, you can see how I did in my last quarter of Jan-Mar. I had over 20 goals and the goal was to achieve at least half of them. These were really busy, three months.

Quarterly Goals

Goals

See what goals I’ve set up for myself for the next quarter of Apr-Jun. This is the second time I am doing Quarterly Goals and so far I really love it. It’s really hard and overwhelming to look at all the goals and try to finish them all in one month. This way I try to stay accountable and it makes me feel less overwhelmed (win-win) πŸ™‚

That is all for this weekly round-up, I hope it will inspire you to go and set up some goals for your projects and for the things you want to achieve.

Take it easy tomorrow (after all, it’s Monday, lol and if you are like me… I see lots of coffee in your future πŸ˜‰

Writing

So, these are my new Quarterly Goals, 24 goals for 3 months. Wow, I’m starting to have a panic attack here, but I can do this (right?).

I hope to accomplish at least half of them, if not more. I also hope to finish all my ‘Writer’s Goals’ by the end of June.

Goals

What are your goals for the new month/s? Don’t forget to set some goals for your project and keep them close to you, mine are on my phone on a widget (trust me, it helps).

Quarterly Goals Recap

Hello everyone, and Happy Monday to you all πŸ™‚

The time has come! Time to review my quarterly goals and find out if I was a huge success or a big F (for failure).

If you are not familiar with these Quarterly goals, I’ll give you a little background. I found the idea over at a You-tuber, and a wonderful Author, by the name of Jenna Moreci πŸ™‚

The idea is to list 10-20 goals for the next three months. This way you will be more focused on your goals and not watch TV or in my case, I won’t be gaming as much as I want

If I accomplish my goals then I am amazing and I can say with a clear mind that I am the queen of the world, lol (or maybe not), but if I fail then I get to publicly say that I have failed, yay me. Sounds fun, right?

If you wanna see the original post of my Quarterly Goals and How I have done throughout these three months in more detail, I will link them here:

January Update

February Update

March Update (Kinda)

So, let’s start to look at my goals and see if I did well or not:

  1. Buy new boxes.
  2. Organize things in the boxes.
  3. Finish with the revising.Β  (Happy Dance)
  4. Have a date night with hubby once a week (already doing this <3). Half/Half Well for two months it went amazing, but then March came and everything stopped.
  5. Organize my Mom’s things.
  6. Organize writing room.
  7. Outline the new project.
  8. Write 150 pages. No! I am at page 138.
  9. Find my F* lost book. Finally found the notes and already organized them into binders.
  10. Write at least 8 blog posts a month. Half/Half Well I was great for the first two months, but March had different plans for me, lol πŸ˜€
  11. Post more on my social media. No!
  12. Clean up my Twitter. It looks better, but I still have tons of work.
  13. Change Covers/Banners/Themes (for social media & blog). It looks so pretty and I love it πŸ˜€ Go see if you haven’t yet πŸ™‚
  14. Clean & organize my blog. No! Done a few (little) changes and cleaned things up, but on March I have done nothing.
  15. Eat healthier (2-3 veggies/fruits a day). LOL, No! With all the stress, I ate mostly junk food 😦
  16. Drink more water (1.5-3 liters a day). No! Drank mostly diet coke (I know…) 😦
  17. Walk more. LOL, NO! Omg. This one is a huge fat NO! With everything that was going on, I didn’t even try. I was mostly too exhausted physically and mentally to start any workout.
  18. Cook at least 3 healthy meals a week. Half/Half For the first two months, I was relatively okay, but on March a huge NO!
  19. Reconnect with friends IRL (so hard for me). Sadly No!
  20. Take some pictures of hubby and me and print them out. Nope!
  21. Buy new simple frames and put those picture in them. No! Forgot all about this one, lol.
  22. Follow blog/social media stats.
  23. Reach 700 followers on Twitter (would love some help in this) Thank you so much to you all πŸ˜€ I have reached my goal and now I’m at 717 (yay).
  24. Research some things for an awesome giveaway (started). Done and done. now all I need are a few little things and I hope to hold this Giveaway on June ❀

So, let’s see how I did

If I am not mistaken I managed to accomplish a bit over half of my goals (13.5). So it’s still a huge fat failure for me! However, I am happy of a few ofΒ the things I was able to accomplish in my writing ❀

So I am not totally ashamed of my failure, lol, but I hope to do much better in my next Quarterly goals πŸ˜€

Friday Musing

Friday Musing

Hello everyone, I’ve missed you all ❀

Ah.. A new month, love the smell of a new month, lol. I can’t believe April is already here. A new month always brings with it a feeling that everything is possible (or is it just me?) and I always have this feeling that I will be able to do more this month (well… let me live in my own illusions, lol).

I have so much planned for this month and I know… I know what you must think “You are taking too many things again…” and maybe you are right, but hey… I love long lists, lol. A new month also has some sort of inspiration around it, I feel that I can do more, be more and achieve more.

My mom is still sick, but she is doing better and this month we have fewer things to do and only a few doctors to see, lol. I hope that I can make this month to be about the things I really want: My writing.

In my quarterly goals, I will list how I did this quarter and I will also post my next quarter (I have so much I want to do, lol). I want to push my writing harder, much harder!

In April we have a huge holiday, so it may be a bit difficult to write, blog or read but Heena helped me see that maybe I can by dividing things I need to do, to even smaller tasks (Thanks, hun) ❀

So here’s to a new month and to new possibilities πŸ˜€

Mini Update #2

image

I’ve planed so much today, but I managed to do only a few things, lol. I was too tired and didn’t have the right mindset to do much today.Β  The newsletter will come out on the 28th of this month and not today (sorry), but I still have a few changes I need to do and I will not make it by today, lol.

On other more happy news, my mom is starting to settle down there and she seems to like it there.Β  There are still a few things I need to do, but slowly the stress is lowered down and we only have some small issues to work out.

My home is slowly getting into his normal shape of a home and not a messy blob of things, lol. It’s still taken me a while to organize everything, but at least I am getting there, lol.

As far as my editing goes, I have nothing. I wasn’t able to sit down and edit, but overall through this month, as you know, I have started a new story and I did manage to write a lot (which makes me feel more than happy, lol).

There are so much more I need to do on daily basis, lol and as a result I am blogging less (sorry again guys), but I did schedule my week (yey me, so proud), wrote some posts in advance (yey again) and I hope this will help me be more free to other things I want to do like read your wonderful posts and maybe even read a book ((happy smile)).

That is all for this mini update πŸ˜‰

I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday, and feeling great.

Monthly Goals

May

I am a little late for my Monthly goals, but it’s better late than never πŸ˜‰

If you missed my Resolutions Update, you can find it here. The post is about what I did so far, until May.

This month my goals are very specifics. These past 2-3 months I got too distracted and too overwhelmed so not much work had been done.

So,Β without further adieu here are my May goals:

Writing:

My goal for this month is to FINISH!

I want to finish Project Zero (I’m working on a new title for it – finally!). I have very little left and just need to find my motivation again and finished it. Hopefully, I will finish it before the end of May, but my deadline is until the end of May.

So: 8675 words (or so) Until 31.5.2015.

Author:

MailChimp is such a wonderful and easy site that made the making of my newsletter so easy. I am thankful it’s free and so helpful ❀

The newsletter is set (finally) and so are a few mini surprises and it will be up by May 15th, yey πŸ™‚ I have so many ideas for this, I hope I will be able to do them.

I am starting to look at Indie publishing and making a list of what I need to do and at the same time, I need to work on editors list and agents for the more traditional publishing as I don’t think our budget will allow me to go with indie publishing (but will see).

Social:

May is social themed for me, lol. I want each week to work on one social media and better it as much as I can so it will look better and cleaner and much more organized.

Reading:

I will not read any extra books, only what I need to read for a review πŸ™‚ I just don’t have time for that. Maybe next month I will be able to read some more books that are waiting for me but for now, it’s enough.

I will be reading my editing book and taking tons of note, lol, so my reading pile for May is full πŸ˜€

Blogging:

I am scheduling (yes, lol, finally did it) my posts and I hope this will make it easier for me to keep my posts on specific days each week.

After looking at my more popular posts, that you liked, and I got inspired to introduce you to a new small feature that will come sometime in mid-May. For now, I will leave it at that πŸ˜€

Health:

I started a new plan to lose some weight now that summer is here (almost) and My goal for this month is to not just lose weight but be more organized with my meals and cut down on the junk food and all the soft drinks (diet coke, mostly).

* Eat regular and thought of meals, with veggies.

* Workout each day for no longer than 10 minutes. I know that’s not a lot, but that’s what I can do and for me, it works great. There are so many great videos on YouTube of even 5 min workout (how awesome is that?)

Here are my favorite 2 at the moment πŸ™‚

* Drink more water.

That is all for this May Goals I hope you liked reading all about it.

Do you have any goals for this month you really want to work towards? Don’t forget to share in the comments, I love reading your thoughts πŸ™‚

As always, thank you so much for reading ❀

Resolutions Update

I was looking at my New Year’s Resolutions and I wrote down a little note to myself of what I did so far and what needs more work. I thought why not share them with you and it will go nicely with my May Goals that I will post at start of the month πŸ™‚

So let’s start…

Writing:

I am very close to finishing the first draft. Less than 9K words. In most days this is a very easy job to do, but this month something went a bit off with my writing so not much progress was made on April.

I did make a few changes here and there, changes that made more sense than before but other than that not much progress.

Research:

The research for my book is almost done, just need to add a few more little bits of information. I never had to do research, lol, so this was a nice learning experience.

Author’s Platform:

I am slowly trying to make this blog look cleaner and more professional looking but still not too rigid. I am trying to learn more and more about this business and what I still need to do, but I guess there are always more things to learn πŸ˜‰

I hope you like the new look for this blog and the new header. I think it’s a keeper – well for now, lol. I like the clean look of it and I think I will stay with it. The header I might change but will see.

Reading:

On reading in general I am so happy that I am able to read more books, due to being part of The Reading Bud by Heena and receiving lots of books to review.

My reading goal for this year is minimum 30 new books and on Goodreads, I set a goal of 50 books. The way things are moving right now I am sure I will meet my goal of reading 30 new books this year (at least).

Health & Fitness:

Sadly in this department, I am not doing so well. All is pretty much the same and I have yet made any commitment to do something. I did, however, start just a few days to minimize my junk-food per day and I do try to drink more water, but I need to do a lot more… So wish me luck.

That is all for this short update πŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for reading ❀
