Writer’s Log: May Goals

Happy Friday to you all and I hope you’ll have a wonderful weekend ❀

I can’t believe that we are already in May, this year flew by so fast. I have a few goals this month that is a continuation of April πŸ˜‰

So let’s start…

Wake up at 4 am every day but Saturday.

So far it is not going well, lol, but I still want to keep trying. After all, it takes at least 21 days to form a habit so I will keep trying.

Write 5K.

I want to just start writing again. I am slowly finding my “groove” again and I want to start writing again, so my goal is to minimum write 5K.

Edit 2 chapters.

I really want to try and keep editing and revising my book. I would be happy even with 2 chapters edited. I want to keep my writing/editing goals small so I won’t get overwhelmed and I would be able to stay motivated… Hopefully πŸ˜‰

Read 3 books.

I am in a huge reading slump. I read a book in every few months, so I want to get back to reading and ease myself to reading more. I still haven’t picked up the books I want to read but I hope to do that tomorrow so I will let you know tomorrow πŸ˜‰

Blog (mostly) every day.

Okay, I think I did really good with the goal on April with a few days I’ve missed posts, but in May I want to try and really do better πŸ˜€ So far I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to share all my insights on June as I finish this challenge.

Declutter the house.

Did a great job on April with decluttering my house but I need to work much harder on declutter our closets and bookshelves in May.

Meditate 4 times a week (at least).

I was doing well with meditating almost every day in April but by the end of the month, I neglected this and I want to get back to meditating and that is why I thought it will be a great idea to add this as a goal for May.

Well, that is it for my goals for the month of May, there are a few hard ones and a few small goals, hehe but I hope I will be able to achieve most of them πŸ˜€

Monthly Goals

May

I am a little late for my Monthly goals, but it’s better late than never πŸ˜‰

If you missed my Resolutions Update, you can find it here. The post is about what I did so far, until May.

This month my goals are very specifics. These past 2-3 months I got too distracted and too overwhelmed so not much work had been done.

So,Β without further adieu here are my May goals:

Writing:

My goal for this month is to FINISH!

I want to finish Project Zero (I’m working on a new title for it – finally!). I have very little left and just need to find my motivation again and finished it. Hopefully, I will finish it before the end of May, but my deadline is until the end of May.

So: 8675 words (or so) Until 31.5.2015.

MailChimp is such a wonderful and easy site that made the making of my newsletter so easy. I am thankful it’s free and so helpful ❀

The newsletter is set (finally) and so are a few mini surprises and it will be up by May 15th, yey πŸ™‚ I have so many ideas for this, I hope I will be able to do them.

I am starting to look at Indie publishing and making a list of what I need to do and at the same time, I need to work on editors list and agents for the more traditional publishing as I don’t think our budget will allow me to go with indie publishing (but will see).

Social:

May is social themed for me, lol. I want each week to work on one social media and better it as much as I can so it will look better and cleaner and much more organized.

Reading:

I will not read any extra books, only what I need to read for a review πŸ™‚ I just don’t have time for that. Maybe next month I will be able to read some more books that are waiting for me but for now, it’s enough.

I will be reading my editing book and taking tons of note, lol, so my reading pile for May is full πŸ˜€

Blogging:

I am scheduling (yes, lol, finally did it) my posts and I hope this will make it easier for me to keep my posts on specific days each week.

After looking at my more popular posts, that you liked, and I got inspired to introduce you to a new small feature that will come sometime in mid-May. For now, I will leave it at that πŸ˜€

Health:

I started a new plan to lose some weight now that summer is here (almost) and My goal for this month is to not just lose weight but be more organized with my meals and cut down on the junk food and all the soft drinks (diet coke, mostly).

* Eat regular and thought of meals, with veggies.

* Workout each day for no longer than 10 minutes. I know that’s not a lot, but that’s what I can do and for me, it works great. There are so many great videos on YouTube of even 5 min workout (how awesome is that?)

Here are my favorite 2 at the moment πŸ™‚

* Drink more water.
