Quarterly Goals Recap

Hello everyone, and Happy Monday to you all 🙂

The time has come! Time to review my quarterly goals and find out if I was a huge success or a big F (for failure).

If you are not familiar with these Quarterly goals, I’ll give you a little background. I found the idea over at a You-tuber, and a wonderful Author, by the name of Jenna Moreci 🙂

The idea is to list 10-20 goals for the next three months. This way you will be more focused on your goals and not watch TV or in my case, I won’t be gaming as much as I want

If I accomplish my goals then I am amazing and I can say with a clear mind that I am the queen of the world, lol (or maybe not), but if I fail then I get to publicly say that I have failed, yay me. Sounds fun, right?

So, let’s start to look at my goals and see if I did well or not:

1. Buy new boxes.
2. Organize things in the boxes.
3. Finish with the revising.  (Happy Dance)
   
4. Have a date night with hubby once a week (already doing this <3). Half/Half Well for two months it went amazing, but then March came and everything stopped.
5. Organize my Mom’s things.
6. Organize writing room.
7. Outline the new project.
8. Write 150 pages. No! I am at page 138.
9. Find my F* lost book. Finally found the notes and already organized them into binders.
   
10. Write at least 8 blog posts a month. Half/Half Well I was great for the first two months, but March had different plans for me, lol 😀
    
11. Post more on my social media. No!
    
12. Clean up my Twitter. It looks better, but I still have tons of work.
    
13. Change Covers/Banners/Themes (for social media & blog). It looks so pretty and I love it 😀 Go see if you haven’t yet 🙂
    
14. Clean & organize my blog. No! Done a few (little) changes and cleaned things up, but on March I have done nothing.
    
15. Eat healthier (2-3 veggies/fruits a day). LOL, No! With all the stress, I ate mostly junk food 😦
    
16. Drink more water (1.5-3 liters a day). No! Drank mostly diet coke (I know…) 😦
    
17. Walk more. LOL, NO! Omg. This one is a huge fat NO! With everything that was going on, I didn’t even try. I was mostly too exhausted physically and mentally to start any workout.
    
18. Cook at least 3 healthy meals a week. Half/Half For the first two months, I was relatively okay, but on March a huge NO!
    
19. Reconnect with friends IRL (so hard for me). Sadly No!
    
20. Take some pictures of hubby and me and print them out. Nope!
    
21. Buy new simple frames and put those picture in them. No! Forgot all about this one, lol.
    
22. Follow blog/social media stats.
23. Reach 700 followers on Twitter (would love some help in this) Thank you so much to you all 😀 I have reached my goal and now I’m at 717 (yay).
    
24. Research some things for an awesome giveaway (started). Done and done. now all I need are a few little things and I hope to hold this Giveaway on June ❤
    

So, let’s see how I did

If I am not mistaken I managed to accomplish a bit over half of my goals (13.5). So it’s still a huge fat failure for me! However, I am happy of a few of the things I was able to accomplish in my writing ❤

So I am not totally ashamed of my failure, lol, but I hope to do much better in my next Quarterly goals 😀

February Update

Happy Monday to all my fellow bloggers and readers, I hope you had a relaxed weekend 🙂

If you remember I have done a post about my Quarterly Goals, however, I still want to post these Monthly Update, so here it is 😀 Btw, if you missed my January Update, I linked it here for you 🙂

It’s the last day of February and even though it was a busy month, it was less busy than the others months before. The only thing that is really annoying me is that I got sick a lot these past few months (still am). I know it’s part of my Addison’s Disease but it’s still annoying to catch all the people’s germs, lol.

Anyway… Let’s start with this monthly update 😉

• Written only 30 pages this month, not great but I’m still hopeful I’ll do better on March. I really need to push myself harder (even if I’m sick) to write more, so I will reach my goal of 150 pages.

Sadly here, I don’t have much to share. As I look back at this month, I know I could do more here. I’m a very disappointing with myself that I haven’t made more progress here, but I’m not giving up. I will edit more – I promise!

• Monthly Blog posts: 13 (Yay me) 😀
• Caught up on some blog posts.

Here I am very happy, that even though I was sick a lot, I still manged to post and read some posts 🙂 I guess I will always be behind on my posts reading but I will always try my best to read more ❤

I didn’t made much progress here this month.

• I am still searching for a cover artist who will not break our bank.
• I did a lot of research about CreateSpace for the new WIP: Ele and Amazon, so I will have a better understanding of how things work.
• I have a giveaway coming up and I am still working on it 😉
• I got many questions over on Tumblr and I just started to answer them, but I will finish soon 🙂 Feel free to ask me anywhere you want, over on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and at here at Coffee n’ Notes. I got mostly anonymous questions and it’s just so much fun going through them ❤
• I’m still searching for a good editor. If you know anyone and not too expensive, feel free to let me know ❤

• I started doing Book Reviews again (Yay), I missed it 🙂

Overall I think I have done okay, but I still have tons to accomplish before March is over. What do you think? Should I get a “well done” pat on the back? Or not (hmmm) 😀

Quarterly Goals

Hello my to all my wonderful readers, I hope you are all having a great Saturday ❤

Quarterly Goals, is a new feature that I will be posting once in every three months. I saw this feature at a YouTuber Author, Jenna Moreci. I loved it so much, so I thought it would be a great idea to try it out.

So far, it’s amazing.

I’ve already accomplished a few of my goals and I just started writing these goals. Usually, I write my monthly goals and even weekly/daily goals and with all that is going on in my life right now, I always feel overwhelmed and stressed.

Making these goals makes me feel that I have more control of the chaos around me and be able to do the things I want without being too stressed out or guilt. I still use daily/weekly goals but as a broken down of these goals I have below 🙂

So, this is how it works (as she said in her Vlog)… You need to write 10 to 20 goals and you need to accomplish at least half of those goals by the end of the quarter.

If I accomplish half or more, than it is “well done” for me 😀

If I fail, then it is “public failure” for me (Yay) 😦

Here are my Quarterly goals (Jan-Mar)

Okay, so I have a bit more than 20 goals, lol but some are smaller than others (so that’s okay). Wish me luck with all these goals and I do hope I will be able to accomplish at least half and not fail here in front of all you, lol.

I do like that in this goal setting approach, I still hold myself accountable but not without the massive stress I usually feel 😀

Friday Musing

It’s Friday… I am so happy that the weekend is here, how about you?

This weekend will be eventful for us, but I am still excited for it to arrive. between events, lol, I am planning to rest, color, catch up on more blog posts I’ve missed, game and rest some more 😀

So… For this Friday Musing I have two things I want to share with you:

Adult Coloring Book 😀 Been there, said that, lol, I know :D. But I love the coloring book (I know, I know… You are sick of reading this, but it’s so true). I enjoyed this activity so much and now that I bought some wonderful coloring pencils, I really love to sit down, listen to some podcast or to an imaginary rain, lol (still dreaming of winter) and color 😀

It’s so nice and relaxing. I missed doing art so much, especially doing it just for fun. It doesn’t have to be perfect or professional, just coloring, lol 😀

I’ve even got inspired by all the coloring and had some nice new book ideas that jumped to my head and I started writing again (something new), only this time it’s more Fantasy, so will see how it goes. I love writing so much, but I wish I loved editing just as much, lol ❤

The second Friday Musing I want to share with you is:

I talk to my friend about organizing your goals to accomplish your dreams. We talk about this a lot. She shared her ideas, I shared mine. After our talk, I went online and searched on that a bit more and after a half an hour or so, I landed on an article that talked about editing and how to fit it better with your daily life, and it really inspired me. It made me think a lot about how to make the editing much easier for me, but I still need to practice it some more, lol.

I will share more about it in another post I will be sending out next week 🙂
