#100DaysProject Challenge

Hey everyone. I hope you are all having a great and easy day ❤

Here in Israel, the government started to open almost all the shops and letting people out which is nice but I’m also afraid that this will make things only harder health-wise and the Covid-19, but I guess I will have to see and hope for the best.

In my previous post, where I shared a bit from what’s going on in my life right now, I’ve also mentioned that I am starting the 100 days project challenge at the start of May and I’ve already dropped the ball on that, hehe, but not by a lot. I am doing most of the things but the working out part (other than yoga), I tend to miss so I’ve scheduled the workout by days of the week, and this way I won’t be overwhelmed and just do one or two things.

The idea is simple: Choose a project or a goal, and do it every day for 100 days. The second rule I will follow is by Matt D’avella and that is you can miss 1 day but not 2. Third rule (of mine) is to pick one day of the week – for rest 😉

So, the first step is to choose a project or a goal… I have lots of goals for this year but I would love to achieve 3 in this challenge. I know you only should choose 1 goal/project but hey, I like to complicate my life, lol.

I chose these 3 goals because they will impact my life highly and I know that even though it will hard and life is already hard, and even if I won’t achieve any of them, I will still make progress and for me, that’s great as well.

So here are my 3 projects/goals I will work on every day for the next 100 days (I started on the May 1st:

Finish editing my book.

I am trying to edit this book for over a year and I always let life, house chores, and everything else get in the way. This time it is different! This time with this challenge I will do it every day even if I will edit only 1 word or 1 paragraph that day. At least I am touching my book and trying to work on it every day.

I tend to let life throw me where ever and then I fall far from my own goals and I don’t like that. I needed to realize that life will sadly always be complicated, hectic, and stressful, so I needed to learn how to work with it and not fight to go through it. I hope you understand what I’ve meant (it’s hard to explain, hehe).

The second goal is…

Practice yoga/Workout.

Part of my workout goals and losing weight I wanted to get back to my yoga practice, so I set that as my goal for this challenge as well.

I always love the calm and stillness that yoga seems to bring into my life, I always feel like I can do and be anything after a good yoga flow, how weird is that? lol.

I also want to workout every day, and as I said at the start of this post, I started scheduling each day with 1 or 2 (short) workouts sessions. This way I am not burning out completely and I will still have the motivation to do it.

Road to minimalism. (and clean house)

Here I am cheating a bit as I put to things in one, but for me, they are so well connected that I always put them together 😀

This will be the hardest of them all to achieve, not the clean house part but my journey to minimalism. You see my husband is a bit of a “hoarder”, not a real hoarder but he likes things, and stuff and more things and it makes my life more difficult as we are both very stubborn and I have a hard time convincing him to put away some of the nicknacks we have all around the house, that not only makes cleaning harder but also feels to me very cluttered when I look around the house.

Don’t get me wrong we both like stuff, deferent stuff, lol, but I am trying hard to declutter my clothes, items, nicknacks, and even books. Books are very hard and I already gave many books away and I do love huge library of books but at the end of the day, I am not getting younger and healthier and it will get harder for me to clean everything and take care of all the books, I need to think of the future as well and my future is a more minimal one.

Sometimes, it’s hard to admit to oneself that we are not getting younger and after a lot of reflection on my life situation and everything that is going on in my life, I need to live in a place that is not crowded with stuff. So this goal had become more and more important to me as time goes by.

I read an article not long ago, and it was about overcoming negative thoughts and what I mostly took from that article is that I can fixate too much on my problems and that only create more problems, hehe.

“Negative thoughts often revolve around what’s wrong with your life. Your attention becomes fixated on and exaggerates the so-called negative aspects of your life. Here your mind will often downplay what is going well.” By Melli O’Brien

I don’t know why but this part of what she wrote in the article spoke most to me, and I think that is why I really want to finish my minimalism goal/project.

So I am trying to work on this a lot and see what is in front of me and not too much weight on my issues so they won’t become monsters in my mind. That is why I also picked up meditation again and easy yoga flows to help me remove most of the negative thought and anxiety, especially at these hard times.

So these are my goals/projects I am trying to work on through these 100 days. It may be hard but at least I want to try to see them through and maybe even achieve some of these goals 😀

I will see you all next time, be happy, and stay safe,

As always, thank you so much for reading ❤

  1. Good to hear that your government is giving relief that way, we, here in India, are again facing strict lockdowns as the governments want to prevent the rise in covid cases. So far the lockdowns are working miraculously, but it is going hard on everyone here. Let’s hope there’s a cure/vaccine soon and we all can get back to our normal lives soon!
I love that you are going for minimalism. I wish I could do it too, but I am a person of the worldly things and I just can’t have enough!! I love the idea of minimalism, but it is tough for me to get rid of things as I am also a hoarder. Lol. I hope you succeed in doing this. All the best ❤

    1. Oh my god yes, we need that vaccine 😀 I don’t like the extreme minimalism, but I do want to simplify my life a bit, but it is hard as I like stuff as well, lol. Thanks hun, ❤
