Random Ramblings

RandomRamblings

Hello everyone, happy Monday to you all πŸ™‚

Omg, where do I begin?

As always, there are so many things going on at once in my life. July and August (so far) are very much the same as the months before (hectic and crazy). But, I did manage to get things done. Maybe not as much as I wanted or planed, but hey… Some progress is still progress πŸ˜€

My Editing

I was able to sit down and edit. I didn’t reach my monthly goal of 50K (for July), but I got a nice amount done of 34K. I was happy I even got to do that, lol. Sadly August wasn’t a good start. Since the 1st of August, I only edited 4K.

I know… That’s just horrible. Listen to me, if you are like me and you love to write more freely and edit later – don’t! For the love of all that is human (lol), don’t! I learned this the hard way.

Room, Writing, Coffeen' Notes

I am more of a freestyle writer, all I want is to tell the story and give life to the characters and the world around them, while they adventure through many beautiful and painful moments.

Now… Editing all of this massive amount is hard (for me), but recently I’ve learned that if I write freely and then I take a day in the week where I only edit the stuff I’ve written before, it made the process move faster and better.

Now I know this may not work for all, but for me, it was a hard-learned lesson

Online Things

Well, recently I had a few issues with my social media/blog/my newsletter.

My blog, stopped sending me people’s posts to my email (since mid-June) and I’m trying to fix that, but I haven’t yet been successful. Also, my scheduling with WordPress has gone crazy (again). I really don’t know what to do with it 😦 Every time I schedule, it just won’t post at the right time and date that I say or it just posts in the date that I’ve written, lol.

Sailor Moon, Coffee n' Notes, Crying

So if you have any advice, I would love any help (any) πŸ˜€

My email (Gmail), decided to mix all my filters, making me do the only thing I could do… Delete all my filters (lol), yep! For me this was horrible.

My newsletter (wow), there are so many things going on there, with the new rules of free emails and such things, I haven’t yet done anything about it. I have been trying, though. What I was able to do (finally), is change my newsletter’s layout and I am happy with how it looks (it looks shiny and pretty, lol).

So don’t forget to sign up πŸ˜€

Indoor things πŸ˜‰

With all the house cleaning that I had to do these past few weeks and believe me when I say, I had tons of cleaning and organizing to do.

Minions, Cleaning, Coffee n' Notes

But as life happens, I did months of cleaning in a less than 2 days, lol with almost no sleep at all πŸ˜€ Saturday and Sunday, I’ve slept for most of these days. But now, the house is clean and looks amazing ❀

I still have some unfinished projects around the house that we must take care of, but for now… I am happy and not so stressed about the house chores. It was so fun to just sit and edit and while looked around the house to see it clean and just go back into my editing (I call this a success) πŸ˜€

Okay, we are done for now, lol. Before this post will get too long.

  1. awww you had a pretty busy time. I agree editing is tough task and I simply fail to notice my mistakes. It’s horrible and it makes my writing look shabby so many times I ask my boyfriend to read it for me. lol

I wish I could help you with the scheduling problem, but I don’t know. I hope it gets sorted and so does your mailing probs!

Take care girl.. Write on πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much πŸ™‚ I’ve been able to to fix all the issues (for now, lol) and my mom is doing better after her stroke.
My editing is a bit slow but I guess that’s what I can do right now πŸ™‚
I started a bullet Journal kinda planner along side my others, lol, and my scheduling had gotten better.
Thank you so much and I hope you are having a great day ❀

  2. Love love love these ‘rambling’ posts Galit – they remind me so much of journal entries!! You are ON FIRE with your word count – wow that’s a hectic amount of words, well done you! And what a great idea of taking one day to edit everything you’ve written, that is such a great way to revise and look over without it all piling up at the end!! Is this the issues you mentioned in a comment to me? So frustrating – technology is great…. when it works!! lol Hope all is fixed now for you πŸ™‚ Loved reading this post huni XXXXX

    1. Awww, thank you so much hun ❀ That means so much to me, thank you πŸ™‚
Yes, it’s hard when you have an entire manuscript to revise or edit when you can do it a few pages once every other day πŸ˜€ So far it works great.

  3. Your posts are coming out the date/time you wrote them because you arent scheduling them to the updated time. Make sure before you publish go to the top and put the correct date & time you want your post to go out. Whenever you start writing a post & dont update those two things its always going to go back to the time/date you started it. Goodluck!
